Teleconference Improvements
- Starting in September, monthly meetings will be structured like the following:
- 12-12:30 Technical
- 12:30-1pm Chapter Business (Canada and International)
- OTHER SAWE International Business – Not Discussed at this Meeting
- SAWE is in the process of building our relationship with Academia. We need chapter support in identifying Academic Liaisons in your membership.
- Action (DARREN): Each Chapter provide a name and corresponding e-mail address of a chapter member that would act in the capacity of a University Academic Liaison to support the interface between Industry and Academia.
- UPDATE: Rod van Dyk has agreed to be the continued general contact for colleges and universities, but since the Canada Chapter covers such a large geographic area, it would be ideal if there were more volunteers to manage the many educational institutions (ie: Ontario, Quebec, Western provinces, Eastern Provinces). Robert Hargrave has a couple of contacts in the Quebec region.
- ACTION (Rod & Robert): Will locate the tracking document with academic contacts, so that the chapter can eventually begin process of determining if contacts are still up to date by reaching out.
